Best Solana Rug Checker Tools in 2026, Compared

An honest comparison of Solana rug checkers: RugCheck, Solsniffer, Bubblemaps, Birdeye, GoPlus, Token Sniffer and ARC AI. What each one checks, where each is strongest, and how to use two of them together before you buy.

No single tool catches every rug pull. Each Solana rug checker reads the chain a little differently: some focus on the token contract, some on who holds the supply, some on how the liquidity pool is set up. The quickest safe habit is to check a new token with two tools that look at different things. This guide explains what the main tools do so you can pick a pair.

We build one of these tools (ARC AI), so we have tried to describe the others fairly and to say plainly where ARC AI relies on them. Features change often; check each site for its current details.

What a rug checker should tell you

  • Mint authority: can someone still create new tokens and dilute every holder?
  • Freeze authority: can someone freeze your wallet so you cannot sell?
  • Liquidity lock: how much of the pool is locked or burned, and how much the creator can pull?
  • Holder concentration: how much of the supply sits in the top 1 and top 10 wallets?
  • Linked wallets: were the biggest holders funded from the same place (a sign of a bundled launch)?
  • Creator history: has the deployer launched tokens that rugged before?
  • Trading pattern: is the volume real, or far larger than the pool could support?

The tools

RugCheck

RugCheck (rugcheck.xyz) is the reference scanner for Solana tokens. It gives a risk score with a list of named dangers and warnings (mint and freeze authority, unlocked liquidity, high holder concentration, creator history, copycat tokens and more) and shows top holders and liquidity providers. Many other tools, ARC AI included, use RugCheck's data for Solana contracts. Best for: a detailed contract and holder report on any Solana token.

Solsniffer

Solsniffer is a Solana-only scanner that turns its checks into a single score with a short list of findings. Best for: a quick second opinion next to RugCheck.

Bubblemaps

Bubblemaps draws the top holders as bubbles and connects wallets that have sent tokens to each other, which makes clusters of linked wallets easy to see. A rug checker tells you that holders are concentrated; Bubblemaps shows you who is connected to whom. Best for: spotting one person behind many "different" holders.

Birdeye

Birdeye is a Solana market data site; its token pages include a security section with authority settings and holder information next to the chart. Best for: checking security while you are already looking at the price.

GoPlus Security

GoPlus provides a token security API used by many wallets and apps, covering EVM chains and Solana: honeypot tests, buy and sell taxes, owner permissions and holder data. Best for: developers, and EVM tokens where honeypots and taxes matter most.

Token Sniffer

Token Sniffer is mainly an EVM tool (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base and others) that scans contracts, simulates a buy and a sell, and flags tokens that copy known scam code. Best for: Ethereum-style tokens rather than Solana.

ARC AI

The ARC AI rug checker is free with no wallet or sign-up and works on Solana and six EVM chains. For Solana it uses RugCheck's data, and for EVM tokens GoPlus; on top of that it gives a plain clean / caution / risky verdict with the reasons in words, adds market data (liquidity, volume, trades, pool age) and a wash-trading flag, and shows a wallet funding map: which wallets funded the top holders, so shared funders stand out. The same scan works in Telegram (paste an address to @Arcai_scan_bot) and for AI agents through the ARC AI MCP server. Best for: a fast verdict you can act on, in the browser, Telegram or your AI assistant.

A two-minute routine before you buy

  1. Paste the address into one scanner (RugCheck or the ARC AI rug checker). Stop if mint or freeze authority is still open, or most of the liquidity is unlocked.
  2. Look at the holders: if one wallet or a funded cluster holds a large share, check it in Bubblemaps or the ARC AI funding map.
  3. Compare volume with liquidity. Volume many times larger than the pool usually means wash trading.
  4. If you still want in, size the position as if you could lose all of it.

How often do these checks matter? In October 2026, ARC AI tracked 2,474 promoted Solana launches; 67.6% of those it could follow for three days had lost half their liquidity or died within 72 hours. The full numbers are in the Rug Risk Index.

Automated checks can miss risks. This is information, not financial advice.
